Ayrton Senna would have been 63 today: an icon for a whole generation
Ayrton Senna da Silva was one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time and we will never forget him.
On this day, March 21, 1960, Ayrton Senna was born, one of the greatest drivers to ever go through Formula 1. The Brazilian, the idol of an entire generation, may have left us on that black May Day of 1994, but he lives on forever, in the hearts of those lucky enough to witness his greatness on and off the track.
He first went karting at the age of four and started racing at the age of 13. In his very first race he started from pole position! Senna won 3 F1 World Drivers’ Championships and 41 GPs during his magical career. At the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix he was just 34 years old.
