Mercedes boss: “It’s not Red Bull’s fault it’s been a boring season”
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff doesn’t rule out that the 2023 season will be boring due to Red Bull’s dominance, but he doesn’t see it as a big problem.
“Red Bull can’t be blamed here. I’ve heard talk like this from 2014 to 2022, when Mercedes was in the lead. All in all, you have to work hard to be number one. If only Red Bull won, it means they did a better job than anyone else.”
“They did their job, we didn’t. Red Bull’s dominance won’t be very exciting, but that’s what makes F1 special. Everyone else has to catch up,” Wolff said.
Red Bull recorded two doubles in the first two stages of the season.
