Fernando ALONSO: “I feel fit and fast. Ready for contract renewal
Fernando Alonso, the driver of the Aston Martin team, who will turn 42 in the summer, is not considering ending his career in Formula 1 yet and is ready to negotiate for a new contract.
“Things are going better than expected this season, which makes us think even more about extending the contract. I feel fit, motivated and fast. I don’t know how many seasons I have left in Formula 1 – two, three or four.”
“I would love to compete for something important, but you also need to finish your career with a smile on your face and good feelings,” Alonso said.
Alonso has been on the podium four times in five races this season, finishing third overall.
