How much is the damage to Schumacher’s dissolved Haas?
Aside from the chassis and engine, nothing was left but Mick Schumacher’s car in the horrific crash he had while time-trialing for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The scariest moment at the Jeddah track over the past three days was Mick Schumacher’s serious accident in Saturday’s time test. The German lost control of Haas on the exit of Turn 10 and then crashed into the track’s concrete walls, literally dismembering the car.
Fortunately, the German was not badly hit and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but the car was badly damaged. How great;
When asked how much it could cost to repair Schumacher’s car, team leader Günter Steiner estimated it could be as much as a million dollars or more than 900,000 euros!
“I think the cost is quite high because the entire suspension has been dismantled except for the front left. “I think there’s something to it.” Steiner said and added: “The rest is just coal dust. I’m not sure about the money, but the whole body is gone in the place of the transmission, the refrigerators are destroyed – $500,000 to $1 million I would say“.
Those who watched the race live will see that the disaster was completed when the car was loaded onto the crane, where it was literally cut in two. According to Steiner, the only parts of the car that appear to have survived are the chassis, battery pack and motor.
