Suicide is the death of Max Mosley
The weapon he used was the death of Max Mosley, the man who remained in the FIA Presidency for 16 years.
The news that Max Mosley died on May 23, 2021 from a weapon used against him spread grief throughout motorsport worldwide. The former driver, lawyer and President of the FIA had been told he had two weeks to live due to late stage cancer, he could not endure the extreme pain in his body and he decided to write the epilogue in a way that he couldn’t would suffer more.
An inquest into the cause of death found that Mosley informed a colleague of his decision to end his life, then had his last dinner with his wife, wrote a suicide note, and was found dead at his home the next day. He was President of the FIA from October 1993 to October 2009, succeeding Jean-Marie Balestrτρm and then handing over the reins to Jean Todt.
