F1 has no plans to ‘punish’ Red Bull for supremacy
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has said Formula 1 will not change the rules and will do nothing to end Red Bull’s dominance.
The Bulls have won all the races this season and Max Verstappen is confidently on his way to his third title.
“If we go the (change the rules) route, we open a door that doesn’t need to be opened. Let’s remember the successful seasons of Mercedes.”
“Now it’s Verstappen’s time, it’s Red Bull’s time. F1 is not going to do other teams better. Nobody is stopping other teams from working at Red Bull’s level.”
“We can’t punish Red Bull for doing better and getting results. It’s not fair,” said Ben Sulayem.
Earlier in F-1, he expressed confidence that he will be able to catch up with the main rivals Red Bull next season.
