Formula 1: The first picture of the Mercedes W13 from 2022

Mercedes became the first Formula 1 team to publish the first photo of its new car from 2022.

The world champion of manufacturers of the last eight years has published the picture of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s new car on Twitter with the tagline “News Year, New Mercedes “.

At first glance, the picture seems to be a digitally edited version of the corresponding exhibition prototype that Formula 1 presented itself this summer, with a simple color change and the placement of the Mercedes-Benz star on the nose.

On closer inspection, however, one recognizes important differences: the front wing has three horizontal elements instead of four of the F1 prototype, which are side air outlets significantly larger, and the rear wing has a completely different shape.
