Porsche and Audi have received the OK to enter Formula 1
The Volkswagen Group has given the green light for the involvement of Porsche and Audi in F1 from 2026.
The Volkswagen Group board meeting gave the green light for Porsche and Audi to enter Formula 1 in 2026.
It is currently unknown what he will do after leaving the post championship as an Alfa Romeo.
Other scenarios include Aston Martin, but working closely with Mercedes, and possibly Williams.
In all these scenarios, the finalization of the regulations for the engines that will apply from 2026 will also play an important role: Red Bull Racing has been investing heavily since 2017 in the construction and staffing of its new engine factory in last year’s F1, alongside its car factory in Milton Keynes, Northampton .
The newly formed Red Bull Powertrains has already started hiring many top engineers from Honda who officially left F1 at the end of 2021, but also from Mercedes.
