Formula 1, Australian GP: Norris faster in the third part of the free test
The third part of the free practice before the Grand Prix in Melbourne was completed with the fastest time by Lando Norris. Leclerc is second, Hamilton eighth.
Lando Norris “followed” Leclerc and Saint in the first of the free stages before the Melbourne Grand Prix. The McLaren driver put up a great fight and was the fastest of all in the third free test in Australia with a time of 1:19:117.
Charles Leclerc finished second and finished the race 0.132s behind Norris, who even had to slow down towards the end after being informed of a technical issue. But that didn’t stop him from setting the fastest time and leaving his competitors behind.
The race was followed by Red Bull’s Perez and later Alpine’s Fernando Alonso who finished fourth. Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Saint completed the top five. Max Ferstappen put in a mediocre performance in seventh, while Lewis Hamilton was a place behind him, which was better compared to FP2.
