A huge lizard invaded the Marina Bay race track during the first free practice session of the Singapore Formula 1 GP on Friday (September 15), forcing the marshal to show a yellow flag.

Max Verstappen was the first to meet the uninvited visitor and was able to avoid him with the following conversation with the Red Bull engineer:


Verstappen: “Uh! There’s another lizard on the track. A smaller one this time.”

Engineer: “Okay I understand. Maybe Godzilla had a child.”

Verstappen: “That would make sense.”
