Stroll crashes into Singapore wall, Norris avoids it
Aston Martin F1 driver Lance Stroll suffered a serious accident during qualifying for the 2023 F1 Singapore Grand Prix this Saturday. The Canadian driver entered the right side of his car from the outside area before turn 19, causing him to lose his car at high speed and hit the wall hard. In the high speed area, the Canadian lost control of his car and a dangerous accident occurred. Do not avoid strong impacts to the barrier.
The impact was so strong that Stroll’s car was severely damaged, losing its nose and left front wheel. The green car bounced off the wall and stayed in the middle of the line. Fortunately, Lando Norris, who was riding nearby, saw his car fall back onto the asphalt and was able to avoid the impact. From the first moment, the Canadian pilot made it clear that he was not injured and was fine.
On the sporting front, Lance, who is Fernando Alonso’s teammate at Aston Martin, will have to start 20th, or last on the grid, for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. The Canadian was 16th on his first lap attempt, but had to hit the track again as everyone’s times improved significantly as the asphalt progressed.
The goal in all of this is to finish in the top 15 and advance to Q2. But after a scare in Turn 17, he went too far into the high-speed zone of Turns 18 and 19, which took its toll on him.
