Sainz wins the race in Singapore, Red Bull and Verstappen’s series ends
top 10: Sainz, Norris, Hamilton, Leclerc, Verstappen, Gasly, Piastri, Perez, Lawson, Magnussen
The race took place as part of the Singapore Grand Prix. The victory was won by Ferrari pilot Carlos Sainz (the second victory of his F1 career), who started from the pole position but managed to maintain the leadership despite the pressure of Lando Norris and the Mercedes duo at the end of the stage.
Let’s pay attention to the strategy of Mercedes, which made a correct pit stop under the virtual safety car for George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, who were running to catch up with their rivals with newer tires. However, Mercedes could not achieve victory.
On the last lap, Russell crashed and did everything he could to pass Norris, but lost control.
And this is the first victory without Red Bull this season.
Max Verstappen finishing the race in 5th place means that the incredible run of both the driver and Red Bull has been disrupted. Max has a streak of 10 consecutive wins, Red Bull has 15.
