OFFICIALLY. Formula 1 names tire supplier until 2027 season
Formula 1 announced a new contract with its sole tire supplier Pirelli. The current contract expired in December 2024 and the new contract will be valid until the end of the 2027 season.
It was reported that the main rival was Bridgestone, which wanted to return to F1, but Pirelli won the tender.
The Italian team has been the sole tire supplier since 2011. Formula 1 believes there is no point in returning to “tire wars” where teams can use tires from more than one supplier.
