Message exchange between Fernando Alonso and Antonio Banderas after the Brazilian Grand Prix
Fernando Alonso was the great protagonist of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Asturian driver successfully overtook Czech Perez on the final lap to take third place and cap off his memorable race.
It didn’t take long for praise for the two-time world champion to come from just within the world of motorsport. Movie stars like Antonio Banderas also wanted to surrender to that exhibition At Interlagos.
”I’ve always been a fan of AlonsoBut the race I witnessed and the way Alonso reached the podium was historic. What pride!!!,” he wrote on his own Twitter account.
His words came through quickly. He was quick to thank the Aston Martin driver for his message.
Fernando knows how to withstand the pressure from the “Czech” and in a “flash interview” after getting out of the car, the Asturian native admitted that in the end he missed out on the podium. ”The last lap for me lasted about 30 laps under pressure from “Czech” and with two laps left I thought a podium was out of the question, but he braked late in Turn 1, so It was him in Turn 4 who told himself he had to try harder.“It was later revealed that “the inside of the car was calmer than it looked from the outside.” At the end, we had to conserve gas and do a “stint.” When there were five or six laps left, I started pushing. Then I saw Czech approaching me. When he passed me I said to myself, you’re going to be fourth, that’s what it is. I went wide in Turn 6 and picked up a bunch of rubber chips so I gave up, but in the end he went a little long in Turn 1 and gave me a chance to merge in Turns 2 and 3. ”
Fernando Alonso stressed that third place was “great” for the team. ”This podium is for everyone in the team and factory. “We have had a difficult few months, but we will continue to fight until the last lap.”
The podium was a victory for the Oviedo driver, who pointed out at the end: “We are still learning about the cars and these cars are very complex aerodynamically.” We’ve been working to find our direction for next year.See you in Las Vegas”.
