Charles Leclerc takes pole position in Vegas, Ferrari dominates the track
top 10: Leclerc, Sainz (+10 penalty positions), Verstappen, Russell, Gasly, Albon, Sargent, Bottas, Magnussen, Alonso
He qualified for the Vegas Grand Prix. The race on the street circuit was won safely by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, ahead of his teammate Carlos Sainz. However, the Spaniard will only start the race in 12th place due to an engine change penalty.
The top 3 was completed by Max Verstappen, who will start the race behind Leclerc due to Sainz’s suspension.
Before qualifying the drivers had only two practice sessions to familiarize themselves with the circuit, so the fight for pole position was expected to be unpredictable.
Williams managed to finish the race in the top 10 with two cars. Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton could not make it into the top 10. Let’s also note the failure of McLaren, who could not make it out of the first qualifying rounds with two cars.
