Verstappen wins in Las Vegas, Red Bull and Ferrari battle, Perez on the podium
Top 10: Verstappen, Leclerc, Perez, Ocon, Stroll, Sainz, Hamilton, Russell, Alonso, Piastri
The race took place as part of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Victory went to Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who started in second place but overtook Charles Leclerc on the first lap. At the same time, Max overtook Leclerc and received a 5-second penalty, and before the first pit stop, Charles overtook his rival and regained the lead.
However, in the second part of the race, Verstappen was faster and became the leader again in the fight with the Ferrari driver. It wasn’t a bad fight between the Bulls and the Scuderia.
Sergio Perez, who finished third, even managed to finish the race as the leader thanks to the safety car. It is worth highlighting the Mexican’s breakthrough from the 11th position at the start. While Perez came second at the end of the race, Leclerc passed his opponent well in the last lap.
Sergio secured himself second place in the overall standings at the end of the season. Let’s celebrate the finish with two cars in the top 10 for Aston Martin.
In a week’s time, the last Grand Prix of the season will take place in Abu Dhabi.
