Mari Boya and Pepe Marti, 4th and 5th at Macau Grand Prix
Spanish Mari Boya (MP Motorsport) and Pepe Marti (Campos Racing) performed well in the historic Macau Grand Prix race, finishing 4th and 5th.respectively from events won by Britain’s Luke Browning (Hitech).
Both drivers improved their positions from the start, with Boya starting 6th and Marti 8th.However, with three laps to go an accident involving Bulgaria’s Nikola Tsorov (ART) ended the race behind the safety car, depriving him of the fight for the top three positions which had given him the right to the podium.
Previously, on turn 8 out of 15, A red flag halted the race for several minutes due to a horrific accident by Estonian Paul Aaron (Prema).. The car was badly damaged and burst into flames, but the driver was able to escape on his own.
Meanwhile, Peru’s Matias Zagazeta (Jenzer Motorsport) finished 17th, Mexico’s Noel Leon (Juan Amersfoort Racing) 19th and Colombian Sebastian Montoya (Campos Racing) 22nd. did.
