At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Friday. Mercedes pace, newcomers and Sainz’s crash
Two practices were held in Abu Dhabi in the last stage of the Formula 1 season. In the first practice, the teams used promising drivers en masse, so Verstappen, Leclerc, Hamilton, Perez and other top drivers skipped the session, giving the newcomers a chance.
While the fastest name in training was Mercedes pilot George Russell, Felipe Drugovich and Daniel Ricciardo entered the top 3.
In second practice, all the top drivers returned to the track and the fastest was Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, ahead of Lando Norris and Max Verstappen.
Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz crashed into the car in second practice.
