Saint: “There are drivers who intentionally leave ‘dirty’ air in the back of the car”
After his disqualification in the first session (Q1) of the qualifying test in Abu Dhabi, Carlos Sainz said that all F1 drivers intentionally induce the handicap by using “dirty” air (that comes out of their car) and give the driver following him a to Each verse takes two tenths of time.
The Spaniard attributed this parameter to his exclusion from Q1 and 16th place, from which he will return tomorrow (Sunday, November 26th, 3:00 p.m.) at the Abu Dhabi GP, the 22nd and final race of this year’s Formula 1 series. Championship, will start.
“There were cars on the track today…”Saint said. “Among us drivers, we know that if you’re two seconds or a second ahead of another car in a corner, you’re going to force it [τον οδηγό που ακολουθεί] losing a tenth or two in this verse.
When the differences are small Q1 or at Q2, I see that many people intentionally leave a little “dirty” air, perhaps so that others lose some time in some corners, and this cannot be considered an obstacle, since the point is not that you (e.g. the following driver) have to take your foot off the gas. But you know you are letting in “dirty” air and forcing it [τον οδηγό που ακολουθεί] I’m having a bad time this round.continued the 29-year-old.
And about his performance today he added: “So he comes out last [στο Q1] Especially in the first two sections of the track I was very close to the leading cars and felt like I was losing tenths of a second in every corner. I think everyone does that. But if you put yourself in a disadvantageous position in line on the track, then you’re going to suffer more.”
Meanwhile, Saint explained the causes of his serious accident in the second free practice session on Friday afternoon (November 24th), saying that today there was no “slap” of the asphalt combined with the “dirty” air of the leading car and the sudden shaking of the rear of the Ferrari SF-23.
“Today was much better. he said, “Basically there wasn’t even Samaraki. We drove at full throttle without any problems. This hasn’t even been a corner in all previous years, Turn 3, but for some reason yesterday the car landed on the tarmac and caused a violent shaking at the rear.
I haven’t lost any confidence or anything like that. Because this isn’t even a qualifying round. So I honestly wasn’t worried about it today. The point is that for some reason it’s difficult to get a good lap in that three day period, especially with the soft rubber. You need the perfect rounds in Q1 and to Q2 and for some reason I didn’t get it”.
As a result, the Spaniard was hoping for a better race tomorrow with the harder tires: “I hope things get better. I feel like I struggled these two weeks on the soft rubber for some reason, but our lap sets weren’t that bad. So we know what we have to do tomorrow, which is to recover well and try to get points,” he concluded.

PHOTOGRAPH. Red Bull will finally update its livery. Back to the classics
There are growing rumors in the paddock that Red Bull is preparing to make a radical change to the livery of its car for the first time since 2015.
Ten years ago the Austrians created a design that they use today almost unchanged, with minor adjustments to the layout of elements and changes to the composition of sponsors.
According to multiple sources, the team decided to finally update its look, going back closer in spirit to the first look, inspired by the design of Red Bull energy drink cans. The team itself is already talking about this design on social networks and periodically directs its fans to it.
Let’s remember that the team was supposed to present its new uniform on January 15 at an event in the USA where Ford will also show off the design of the youth team. Due to the difference in time zones, the live broadcast of the event will start at 05:00 Kyiv time.

Red Bull abandoned the radical decision. What is the reason?
Red Bull Ford seems to have decided to slow down with one of the most radical technical solutions on the eve of the start of the new regulations. The concept in question is an engine concept with an extreme 1:18 compression ratio, which is seen as a potential loophole in the regulations.
According to information received from the paddock, this configuration is not planned to be used in tests in Barcelona. The reason is quite ordinary; The risk level is very high. Although engineers expected a noticeable increase in power, at the same time serious doubts were raised about the stability of the engine in racing conditions.
The team fears that relying on aggressive architecture could lead to a wave of power unit failures early in the season. Therefore, the version that Red Bull Ford is ready to move away from this idea altogether, preferring a more balanced and predictable solution, is now increasingly heard.

I won’t wait. Leclerc reveals conditions for leaving Ferrari in 2026
In Formula 1, the 2026 season will start a new technical era in the championship. The teams are preparing for radically changing regulations that will deliver a different car concept, updated aerodynamics and new generation power plants. This is the beginning of such rules, which often becomes a decisive moment not only for sporting results, but also for strategic decisions within teams.
2026 could be a decisive year for Ferrari. After several seasons in which the team regularly lost momentum due to mechanical limitations, Maranello decided to change its approach to the basic concept of the car.
Against this background, Charles Leclerc’s words are becoming increasingly important, according to the Italian publication autoracer.it. The Monegasque openly admitted that the start of the 2026 season will be decisive for his future at Ferrari. According to him, if the team cannot compete at a high level once again, this could put an end to its history of cooperation with Maranello.
Separately, the futures of Lewis Hamilton and team leader Frederic Vasseur are also in danger. For the seven-time world champion, 2026 could be a chance to highlight a new generation of cars that will better suit his driving style.
