Zamora wins against Rayo Cantabria (1-0)

Zamora added three points this Sunday with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Rayo Cantabria at the Ruta de la Plata. Zamora lost 2-1 in the previous match against Gimnástica Torrela Vega, so they entered the match with the goal of improving their score in the standings. On the visitors’ side, Rayo Cantabria played away to Real Avilés and at the stadium to Real Oviedo B, winning their last two games 1-2 and 5-1 respectively. With this result, the Zamorano team was in second place and Rayo Cantabria was in fourth place at the end of the match.

Neither team scored a goal in the first half, and the score remained 0-0 for the first 45 minutes.

The home team found a goal in the second period, taking the lead in the 91st minute with Baldrich’s goal just before the final whistle, finishing the game 1-0.

In the chapter of changes, Zamora’s players entered the match with Barrio, Mancebo, Pito Camacho, Boro, Dani Hernández replaced by Carlos Parra, Joel Priego, Baldrich, Theo, Luis Rivas, but Rayo… The changes from Cantabria were Santa Maria and Diego. Campo, Izan Yurieta and Obeng replaced Jorge Delgado, Mario Garcia, Jeremy and Neco Celorio.

The referee decided to caution the two players. On the local side, Barrio was shown a yellow card, while on the Rayo Cantabrian side, Marco Carrascal was booked.

With these three points, Zamora are in second place with 29 points, while Rayo Cantabria are in fourth place with 22 points.

The day after the tournament, Zamora will play at home against Valladolid B, while Rayo Cantabria will play at home against Marino Luanco.
