Martin doesn’t blame himself: “I think this is just the beginning.”
Spaniard Jorge Martín, second and final in the MotoGP World Championship class, said he was satisfied that despite the circumstances he was able to fight for the world title until the final race.
“The truth is, everyone will tell you that I feel sad, absolutely angry, in pain, but I feel that after the result, after the tough moments, I feel the same way as the team and the people around me and It means that you feel happy because you are grateful to me.” I think this is just the beginning, I still have many years left to fight for the championship,” he asserted confidently.
“It wasn’t in our plans to fight for the title, but our plan was to finish in the top three. We reached the final day in Valencia and were in third place with more than 100 points, and our chances of winning were in doubt. I’m happy to have won the world championship, which was more than enough. Thanks to what we have achieved, I have a great team and I hope we can fight for many more world championships,” Martin stressed.
Jorge Martín said of his first failure when trying to overtake Bagnaia: “The truth is, I was thinking of overtaking ‘Pecco,’ but I decided not to overtake him and as soon as I got behind him, , and was sucked into the slipstream of his motorcycle.” So, I had to pull over, I hit the brakes, and I could see I was going to eat it, it was going to be a disaster, and I stood up a little bit, like I was making contact. , and then I tried to recover my position.
“The truth is, I was very fast, much faster than the other players, and my average pace wasn’t up to what I should be doing. And then I found Vinales, who was very energetic, and I I never understood why he gave all the passes back to me, maybe he should have been one of my teammates, but I didn’t have any, so I gave him one of my teammates. He wasn’t a person, but he didn’t want to bother me, so to speak, ”Martin recalled.
“Then I overtook Marc and he let go of his brakes to maintain his position and I couldn’t do anything but lift the bike to avoid falling. This is a race, so let him too. I feel bad, but he came.”It was a shame because he had a very good pace,” Marquez lamented.
Jorge Martin said after his mistake: “I was going to race. I was in 6th place fighting for 5th place, Zarco was there and there were two KTMs left, so I think I came at a much higher pace than the others.” He declared.
“I worked very late yesterday and I think I took or was taking a big step from yesterday to today. I knew that very clearly. When I saw that ‘Pekko’ won, I felt that the world… I realized that the championship was going to be practically impossible. ”I’m more angry than the World Cup because I was already in the lead from the beginning, but I wanted to say goodbye with a victory to end the year, because Because it seemed difficult to me,” Martín said sincerely.
“I don’t think we lost at the World Cup, but I think it was more of a series of mistakes.Especially in the first half of the season, we struggled and weren’t as competitive. We need to understand why in the tournament.” “We had a hard time starting like this and ending the year without getting within 14 points,” he said.
“The strategy was to win the race, but it was already complicated. I think today we had a little bit more leeway than the others and we looked at the situation behind Pecco and found a winning point somewhere. “But as soon as I tried to race, there was no point pushing myself in favor of myself, so I waited, but when the slipstream absorbed me, everything changed a little. , had to start pushing. ” explained Jorge Martín.
“Yes, well, I’d like to make that the first headline to congratulate Pecco, because I think he’s had a great year. He took a big step forward in points and started the year with 60 points. He was winning it because it was a great thing.”I think he’s a great champion because they gave him the world championship and he made some mistakes but he still managed to win it. It is very difficult to repeat a world championship, but I think he had the maturity and speed necessary to achieve it,” said Jorge Martin about the 2023 world champion.

The F1 champion chose a driver who could win 5 championships. This is not Verstappen
1996 Formula 1 champion Damon Hill expressed his confidence in Lando Norris, believing that the British driver can win three or four championships during his career after his success last month.
Norris finished the 2025 season at the top of the standings, finishing third at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
This earned him a place on a list of world champions that includes only 35 drivers. It’s even rarer for a driver to win more than one championship, but Hill is confident Norris can extend his achievements to four or five trophies.
“He did that, and that provides a certain peace of mind,” Hill said.
“He will be able to relax to a certain degree. It all depends on your desire to win.”
I always thought it would be enough for Michael (Schumacher) to win one, two, three, four, five championships, but he went on to win one or two more championships. On the contrary, some people become more motivated and pursue new titles. I definitely think Lando is capable of multiple championships. “I think there are three or four more left.”
