From Williams’ rebirth to Garitano’s struggles
Nico Williams’ retention is good news for Athletic, but there are several aspects to his renewal. The important thing is that he wants to stay at the club for life and has no intention of leaving without euros in cash, but signs for “only” three years and with an apparently “low-value” clause. That means he can do the following: Choosing your future in a short period of time. he has an ace. Next, you need to build a project that’s so appealing that you don’t want to abandon it. Nico’s melodrama ends…for now.
It is very sad to see Gaizka Garitano, the head of UD Almeria, suffering. His team is yet to win and there were options, like last weekend’s match against Betis with 10 men left. They did a great job in Bilbao even though they came through the back door and it’s only natural that good things will happen to them. His team seems to be getting better little by little, but they need to win as soon as possible. I hope they give him confidence. Because I can’t think of anyone better suited to pull them out of the hole, as he did athletically and in record time.
