Goodbye Alfa Romeo, welcome to the stake F1 team, Kick Sauber, 2024
Swiss F1 Team Sauber will become stake F1 team Kick Sauber in 2024, according to the official list of 10 teams registered for next season released by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) this Friday.
The exact name of the team is still unknown, but it is known that it is set to change as Sauber’s main partner Alfa Romeo has announced its withdrawal from F1 after five years with the Swiss team. .
The Hinwil (Switzerland)-based team will therefore bear the names of two of the sponsors already displayed on the car. One is Stake, his Australian online casino and sports betting site, and the other is Kick, his video streaming service owned by the founders of Stake and Stake. It has 22 million registered users since its launch last year.
According to a team statement, the team will continue to be called Stakes F1 Team Kick Sauber in 2025 and will continue to be powered by Ferrari engines until Audi joins in 2026.
China’s Zhou Guanyu and Finland’s Valtteri Bottas will remain the team’s two F1 drivers next year, while F2 title-winning Frenchman Theo Pulchaire will maintain his role as reserve driver.

Red Bull boss: “Building your own engines is crazy. Only we could do it”
The Red Bull Formula 1 team, which has used Honda engines in the past seasons, will switch to its own engines in cooperation with Ford as of 2026.
Bulls boss Laurent Mekies hopes the engines can compete with traditional manufacturers Mercedes and Ferrari.
“It must be madness to start producing your own engines. Only Red Bull can get involved and start producing their own engines when their competitors have been doing this for 90 years. Tough months are ahead and it’s hard to hope that we’ll come up with a top-level engine right away.”
“But I am proud of our partnership with Ford. We will have a difficult start, but we will see,” Mekis said.
F1 will have new regulations on engines and aerodynamics from the 2026 season.
