Mercedes boss: “Both we and Ferrari are losing teams”
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff did not hide his disappointment in the 2023 season, when his team failed to win a single race and finished second in the Teams’ Championship behind Red Bull.
Rounding out the top 3 were Ferrari, which still won one race.
“Winning the race or placing 2nd in the Constructors’ Championship? Both we and Ferrari are the losing teams of this season. “But if we talk about financial payouts, it would be better to finish second in the team competition.”
“And if we talk about extra time in the wind tunnel, it is better to be third to gain more time. But it is impossible to have everything,” said Wolff.
In the 2023 season, Red Bull dominated the championship, winning 21 of 22 races.
