FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández is overlooking more “effects” when it comes to his team’s scoring chances, but the truth is that there are statistical details that suggest he is right. One is particularly impressive. Almeria, who are at the bottom of the league and are yet to win a game, will have their two highest scorers on the podium for the Clez Gunners in the regular competition. Sergio Arribas, who has scored five goals, and Luis Suarez, who has been injured since October and has scored four goals, in a hypothetical classification of league goals between two teams fighting for fundamentally different goals. He would only be second to Robert Lewandowski.

Polish striker Pichichi’s final league match of the 2022-23 season was far from the same decisiveness he showed last year, but Lewandowski still managed to score eight goals. For Barça to reach 31 games, which they collectively celebrate after completing almost half of the league, the goal is widely divided. Ferran Torres and João Félix, Barça’s next two scorers behind the number nine, have only celebrated three goals each. There are now two players: Joao Cancelo, Rafinha and Ilkay Gundogan. Among them are Fermín López, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Sergi Roberto, Marc Giu and the injured Gabi. The other two goals were own goals by rivals.

In the Almeria side, who achieved 17 goals in the entire league, Leo Batistao will take a prestigious place in the team thanks to his three goals. Sergio Akieme and Raji Ramazzani each scored twice, with Kaikie rounding out the Red Lanterns’ scoring list with a goal.
