Domenicali on Schumacher: “We are all close to Michael and the family”
As the sad 10th anniversary of Michael Schumacher’s accident in the Alps approaches, Formula 1 boss and former Scuderia director Stefano Domenicali has spoken about the German sporting legend and his ordeal.
Michael Schumacher suffered serious brain injuries in a skiing accident in the French Alpine resort of Maribel on December 29, 2013. Domenicali is referring to a recent investigation by German journalist Jens Gideon, who wrote that paramedics wasted valuable time flying him to Grenoble hospital – time that could have made a big difference to the German’s health – by first underestimated the severity of his condition.
Meanwhile, another German ex-F1 driver Timo Glock, who raced alongside “Sumi” in the sport from 2010 to 2012, is still in touch with the Schumacher family. He was also asked by the press for a statement in view of the upcoming anniversary of the accident.
