When will the new Williams and Sauber be presented in 2024?
Williams and Sauber have chosen the same day, Monday February 5, 2024, to present their new cars for the next Formula 1 championship.
The new car launch schedule will be quite tight this year as the one and only day of development testing has been brought forward. It will take place in Bahrain from February 21st to 23rd, at the same track where the season opens a week later (February 29th to March 2nd) with the first GP of 2024.
Ferrari has already announced that it will unveil its new Cavallino on February 13th at Maranello, and now Williams and Sauber are the next teams to confirm their own revelations. They will take place on the same day, Monday, February 5, 2024.
The Sauber C44 will be unveiled at an event in London. It’s the first time the team has chosen the English capital and that may have something to do with the final name being announced. A few days ago the Hineville team confirmed that its official name will be Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, but in practice it will have a different name and a new corporate identity.
The new Sauber will not be an evolution of this year’s, but a completely new car designed in white, as confirmed by team representative Alessandro Aluni Bravi. As the Italian said, this year’s C43 “It had limitations that didn’t allow us to develop it further [το 2024] “We will have a completely new car, from the chassis to the suspension, in all areas.”
As for Williams, we still don’t know whether he will present his new car or whether he will simply reveal the colors of the new season – like last year. But like Sauber, Grove’s team will completely change his car’s design philosophy, as his new manager James Vowles confirms. “I’m excited to see what effect this complete change of direction will have in four or five months,” said the Brit.
