Razgatlioglu repeats his performance in race two at Donington Park
Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu (BMW) was on display again this Sunday. World Superbike Championship British Grand Prix Round 2where he expanded his general classification and his dominance as leader of Spain. Alvaro Bautista (Ducati), current World Champion, finished Fifth.
The Turkish rider said goodbye to the Donington Park circuit with a triplet and impressively achieved his seventh consecutive victory (33 minutes 11.699 seconds), beating Italy’s Nicola Bulega (Ducati) by 8.062 points and Britain’s Alex Lowes (Kawasaki) by 10.026 points.
Fourth place went to his teammate, British rider Scott Redding, and fifth to the native of Talavera. Alvaro BautistaWith 13,476 points, he was unable to reach the podium like he did on Saturday, but he finished third overall at the World Championships after completing five of 12 events.
Razgatlioglu extended his lead at the top of the overall standings with a super fast lap of 1:25.597, extending his lead to 241 points after a week ago with Banega in second (200 points), Bautista in third (186 points) and Lowes in fourth (165 points). Competition resumes in the Czech Republic.
In the Women’s World Cup, events this Sunday were decided by a duel between Spaniards. Maria Herrera and Ana Carrascounlike what happened on Saturday, which tended to favor the first place, with Sara Sanchez beating Beatriz Neira to third place.
