Carlo Ancelotti continues to make history on the Real Madrid bench. The Italian coach began his sixth season (fourth in a row) in charge of the white team by winning the European Super Cup against Atalanta in Warsaw, thanks to goals from Valverde and Mbappé.

This brings Reggiolo’s tally of titles with Real Madrid to 14, matching the historic record of the legendary Miguel Muñoz. The Madrid manager won 14 titles (including two European Cups) with the white team between 1960 and 1974, a figure that seemed unreachable even after Ancelotti began to rack up success since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu for the second time in the summer of 2021.

In the first stage (2013-2015), Carlette won the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup, and after his return he established himself with the permission of Zinedine Zidane (11 titles in two stages), the most successful and important manager of Real Madrid in the 21st century.

Since returning from Everton in 2021, he has won nine trophies: two Champions League titles, two league titles, one Copa del Rey, two Spanish Super Cups, two European Super Cups and one Club World Cup.

Ancelotti won his 14th cap in his 292nd game on the Real Madrid bench, meaning that the Italian has won an average of one title every 290.8 games, including his two stages at Chamartín.

The European Super Cup in Warsaw is the first of seven titles Real Madrid will be aiming for in what promises to be their longest and most intense season in living memory, with the league starting on Sunday, followed by the Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup, Copa del Rey and, as the climax, the Club World Cup.
