The winners of the “Track of the Year” 2024 project were announced at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF). The leaders of the people’s race were representatives of six Russian regions. Prize-winning athletes from Kazakhstan, Serbia and the Sverdlovsk region were in direct contact with the studio.

Awards for the best tracks at the stand of the race organizer – Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel – were presented by: project ambassador, methane racing truck pilot, member of the KAMAZ-master team Sergei Kupriyanov, Honored Trainer of Russia, international master of sports Oleg Kharitonov, project ambassador, founder Maltese Falcon triathlon team Oleg Zaitsev, master of sports in cycling Renat Khamidulin, general director of Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel Sergei Komissarov.

The Grand Prix among drivers was won by Yulia Kolesnikova from the city of Georgievsk. The absolute winner’s track was a journey from the Stavropol Territory through the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia to Sochi. The total distance is 6,300 kilometers on methane.

— The “Track of the Year” project team is growing rapidly. The length of the common tracks is now more than 150 thousand kilometers, which means that in a few more years it will be equal to the length of all Gazprom gas pipelines. A gigantic figure. As a pilot of an environmentally friendly gas-powered KAMAZ, I am pleased that the number of automobile tracks has quadrupled over these three months, and the main record holder’s vehicle did not emit more than a ton of CO2-eq into the atmosphere. and other harmful substances. And most importantly, how people react to our initiative. We see how people’s eyes light up, how they charge each other, those around them, neighbors, friends, loved ones with this energy. Everyone – both those who drive themselves and those who breathe air that is not poisoned by cars. This is very cool. We are all united by the desire for environmental friendliness and a healthy lifestyle. Natural gas engine fuel is our important contribution to achieving these goals,” said Sergei Kupriyanov.

Among running enthusiasts, the main award was given to Alexander Konstantinov from Ufa. His track of the year is a 56-kilometer race around Shikhanov, the calling card of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Natalya Kurbakova from the city of Lyskovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, won the new category “Track Cycling”. The participant recorded cycling tracks for 95 days and rode a total of 1,219 kilometers.

Another innovation is corporate nominations, where winners were determined based on the mass participation and total mileage.

The Gazprom Mezhregiongaz team from seven regions of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Orenburg, was recognized as the most active running team and the winner of the project in the “Fun to Run Together” nomination.

In the “Gas to Engines” category among corporate fleets, the best result was shown by the team of the St. Petersburg city carrier Passazhiravtotrans. On one working day, almost 300 methane-powered buses took to the routes in support of the project.

The award for the best running track in the “Eco-friendly route” category went to Evgeniy Kapsky from Kemerovo. The project helped the participant reach a new sports level and run a distance of 50 km for the first time.

Among drivers, the best “Eco-friendly route” was recorded by Kirill Ermolaev from St. Petersburg – more than 6 thousand kilometers on methane to the Black Sea coast.

In the Family Track category, first place among drivers went to the Khairullin family from the Republic of Tatarstan. Participants traveled 4,755 kilometers from Kazan to Sochi and back.

Among the athletes, Lyubov Mokhova became the best in the Family Track category. The participant recorded her tracks together with her daughters, mother and sister.

In the second season of the “Track of the Year” people’s race, the number of participants tripled. Over the course of three months, over 900 people recorded sports and automobile routes on two continents – Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, China, South Africa, Angola and other countries.

The length of the continuous automobile route increased by 24% and reached a maximum of 1,837 kilometers. The longest track on a bike is 300 kilometers, while running is 86.

The philosophy of the people’s run, which is built on three components – environmentally friendly transport, clean air and a healthy lifestyle, formed the basis of the concept of the exhibition “Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel” at SPIGF.
