“At one time I met Timoshchuk and Fayzulin. Now I hope to communicate with current Zenit players” – racer Sotnikov
KAMAZ-master team pilot Dmitry Sotnikov said that he wants to meet the Zenit players.
Two-time winner of the Dakar rally marathon and multiple winner of the Silk Way rally Sotnikov takes part in a test drive of new KAMAZ vehicles, which takes place at the Zenit Gazprom Arena.
— I think that during the test drive at the Gazprom Arena, both serial KAMAZ equipment and the latest new products were presented very brightly and festively.
— What does the cooperation between KAMAZ and Zenit mean to you?
— We had several stories, we held similar events with players. Then there were Tymoshchuk and Faizullin. And today there will be a chance to see other football players live. I myself love to watch football and play it.
— “Zenit” is the champion of Russia, “KAMAZ-master” is the champion of Russia. What other similarities can you name?
— In colors (smiles). I think there will continue to be some kind of overlap, even though these are different sports.
— Isn’t your native football team “KAMAZ” jealous of cooperation with “Zenith”?
– I think not at all. About two years ago I was here at a match when KAMAZ came to the cup game. We came to cheer for KAMAZ and watch Zenit play. We all understand the goals and objectives of KAMAZ and Zenit, so everything here is built on mutual respect.
— Are you able to watch Zenit matches this season?
— I haven’t watched this particular season yet; we have a very intense schedule of events. I’m trying to monitor the results. If possible, we will visit the Gazprom Arena this season.
— Has anyone from Zenit expressed a desire to try themselves as a racer?
— We haven’t heard anything like this yet. Today there will be an opportunity to propose. Why not? We are happy to organize such an event,” a Match TV correspondent reports Sotnikov’s words.
