The current champion of Motogp Horge Martin received 11 fractures of the ribs in the first race after returning

The current world champion in the MotoGP class Jorge Martin was accidental during the race at the fourth stage of the championship in Qatar.

The Spaniard, playing for the Aprilia Racing team, held the first racing weekend of the season. For a long time it was restored after the fractures of the arm and foot received after falling on the tests in Sipand (Malaysia).

In his first race, after the return, which was held on Sunday in Qatar, the 27 -year -old Martin fell again, driving widely to the curb. The Spaniard was hospitalized, and a complete medical examination revealed several fractures of the ribs from him. According to MotoGP and the Aprilia Racing command, eight fractures of the rear rib arches were discovered from the first to the eighth, as well as three fractures of the side arches from the seventh to the ninth. In addition, the racer has minimal inflammation of the pleura due to pneumothorax.

Martin himself published a photograph from the hospital on social networks, accompanying the post with the signature: “Thank God, because everything could be much worse. I will try to keep you in the know [восстановления]”.

Thus, for the four stages of the new season, the current champion did not score points and due to a long recovery will miss the following stages.

The leader of the season is the six -time world champion, Spaniard Mark Markue, who scored 123 points.
