Madrid gives another step in building F1 circuits

With a bid budget of 111 million euros, the layout work, which will host the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035, was awarded to the utte for 83.2 million euros.

The contract includes assembly and disassembly of all temporary track structures and facilities that allow for race celebrations, and the replacement of public roads that become part of the routes used daily after completion.

The Madrid Circuit is called the “Mad Ring” and has tracks in the urban sector and other sectors that are not. It has a length of approximately 5.5 km (5,400 meters) and a curve of 20 songs, with an estimated return time of approximately 1 minute and 32 seconds in qualifying.

Designed under the FIA ​​Grade 1 Homologue standards, the 4,100 metres pass through the interior of the Ifemamadrid plot, with an additional 1,300 passing through the public road section.

Acciona details that UTE ensures coexistence of use with the execution of the work.

Until now, Madrid had recovered nine of his Spanish Grand Prix and his Formula One World Cup careers at Jarama Circuit. And the last one in 1981, when it was imposed by Jill Villeneuve of Canada.

Action will reuse approximately 700,000 cubic metres of land from clearing and excavation, and CO2 issued in the work will be compensated with concrete sustainability measures.

ACT and Eiffage Construction use renewable HVO biofuels for machinery and vehicles, as well as renewable power for work facilities.

Additionally, 60% of the total land and moving materials are recycled in the work itself, with the remaining 40% being stored for use in other works.
