Two people died on the rally in Ecuador after hitting the audience
Two people died and six more were injured as a result of an accident at the third stage of the Vuel Ecuador rally, Primicias reports citing police data.
The incident occurred on July 30 in the province of Tunguraua. One of the participants in the competition lost control, moved off the highway and crashed into the audience and a car parked nearby. One adult and one minor died.
The victims were delivered to the nearest medical centers, where they are provided with medical care. Police officer said that among the victims there is a child who is amputated by the legs due to the severity of the injuries.
The Ecuadorian Federation of automobile and picture racing (Fedak) said that the rally would continue, despite the tragedy.
