Bahrain and Abu Dhabi funds paid $ 5 billion for McLaren Racing – Media
The Bahrain company Mumtalakat and Cyvn Holdings from Abu Dhabi became full owners of McLaren Racing, which also owns the Formula 1 team, Reuters said.
The transaction, according to one informed source, is estimated at five billion dollars.
The Bahrain sovereign welfare fund Mumtalakat will remain the main shareholder, and CYVN, the controlling stake in which belongs to the Abu -Dabi government, will receive a non -control stake package.
McLaren Racing has been managing the teams in Formula 1, the American IndyCars series and since 2027 will participate in the World Endurance Race.
