I would like to recommend all the details of what MotoGP practice has given you. I’ll be back tomorrow for each classification and sprint race. Thank you for participating, please read tomorrow.
KTM binder and Acosta impress Marquez with Montmelo practice
The Yamaha Frenchman has remained at the gate of achieving his goals and being in the top ten. But it should be just 3000th of an ogura after a quarter.
There are many important names playing with Aldeguer, Bagnaia, or Jorge Martín over the weekend
The Italian was 21 years old, and it was over two seconds of the best time of the day. It’s Pecco’s favorite circuit, but nothing will come out this year 2025.

Alex Marquez was faster than Mark, third and fourth respectively. Alex only stayed at 139,000 times of binder time, but marked at 124,000.
KTM has a Friday absolute domain left after dominating in the morning. This time the Blood Binder is the fastest of the day, with the 10th advantage over Acosta
The Italian fell to curve 2 and the motorcycle was destroyed on protection.
The French go to the ground and yellow flags appear in sectors 1 and 2. Many wraps have been cancelled
The Brad Binder is first placed at 1:38,131. Then there’s a tenth of Pedro A Costa. The magnificent Austrian
A good round at the end of the two-time Barcelona winner Frenchman. Fabio was placed in the fourth to three-half of the Alex Marques registry
The Italians remained in 19th place later than Alex Marquez’s. The situation is important for Pecco
He embraced his brother’s challenge and placed first on a record of 95,000 faster than Mark. Gresini is very comfortable here
The World Cup leaders will blow the best time over the weekend, first being placed at an epic 1:38,444. The most common is Zarco, only 1/67,000.
Acosta is only a quarter
The Italians at KTM are first over a tenth of the Alex Marques registry. He did it with a new backrubber
Equality is the biggest, with almost all grid pilots having the second difference

This workout was taken very calmly due to his injury, but now he’s coming out softly and softly in front of him. A 12-1/4 of the Alex Marques registry was placed
Pilots like Bezzecchi and Aldeguer have installed new soft rubber behind them. However, times are not moving much. We cannot guarantee what the gasoline load level is, but it appears they are continuing their career rhythm tests.
Pecco needs to improve a lot if you don’t want to go through Q1. Italians are Alex Marquez’s second reference for now from 17º. I’m against the string

Gresini’s is the fastest so far, at 1:39,074. Anyway, no one can do it in the morning using an Acosta chrono.
Many pilots repeat medium-sized rubber combinations
Another great record for Acosta has begun. For chronos with 1,39,074.
Catalonia scored 1:39.3, making it the fastest in this first attempt. Honda continues to show great levels, with Marini and Zarco approaching one in 80,000
Pit-Lane traffic lights are off and there’s Friday time for MotoGP pilots. Ideal climate conditions to record the best
Murcien was the fastest in the morning, the only person who could break the 1:39 barrier after riding a new rubber at the end of the session. You don’t have a new air pressure set in the morning and you need to see what Mark Marquez is doing, focusing on the rhythm
You’re ready to start with MotoGP. 60 minutes to decide who will go straight to Q2 and play the weekend in the first quarter.
Leave all the details of OA’s first MOTOGP free training. We will be back in action from 3pm and at 3pm today. With MotoGP Practice
Pedro Acosta pulls time attacks to surprise Mark Marquez in Montmelo’s free one
Mark Marquez made a big return just to start with a focus on the rhythm of the race. It continues at a level that is almost not equal to the other circuits, despite not being on your favorite circuit.
Instead, Bagnaia is not a circuit that usually flys by lifting its head or normally. He made the worst result of the season penultimate. Over 2.5 seconds of reference time has been completed

Pedro Acosta starts by sending it to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya! Johann Zarco was the man who approached Murcia’s time only 95,000th.
He is the only person who can break the 1:39 barrier. He created two laps marking the same record: 1:38,979. Brutalizes the rhythm on average new tires
Murcia reduces Marquez’s time by more than two tenths. As the recording continues to drop, the sensation is improving every day with KTM and eyes
Despite arriving due to an injury to her arm, Viñales placed just one in 170,000 mark time
In these final minutes, you begin to look for the chrono and the pilot puts in a new rubber. For example, Raul just finished sixth in the Truck House.
Bastianini is located at the third to four-quarters of Mark’s Chrono
His KTM stopped at the end of the line. We’ll see what it is
This second batch shows the rubber wear on the rear. The deterioration is very high and is far from what was in the first batch, so it’s clear
The Italians calmly film the beginning of the Grand Prix on one of their favourite circuits. As always, he focuses on rhythm, but he is almost half-half of his partner, Mark Marc Marquez.

The Australian, who had just renewed his contract with his cousin Pramac Yamaha, went to the ground at the entrance to the La Estadi region. No physical consequences.
Mark’s time takes half a second for his brother Alex. Cervera’s declaration of intent is the first round, much faster than that of its rival. No adaptation required
All pilots will now track down to take the first sense on the Barcelona Catalña Circuit
Madrid’s Wang attended the world of sports at the circuit in Barcelona Catalña, which became world champion last year.
He spoke personally about his most difficult year on the track and the situation with Aprilia and tip change when he had to defend the first in the fairing.
Jorge Martin: “I had never thought about a retreat. It was a lot more.
how are you? Welcome to MotoGP Catalonia GP. In just a few minutes, all eyes were placed on the Marquez brothers, Queen category’s first free training session

HAMILTON: ‘It’s something I’ll never get used to and I’ll never forget’

Lewis Hamilton was shocked after the first laps in Ferrari’s new car SF-26 with 2026 regulations. The seven-time British champion was particularly impressed by the support from tifosi, which he described as “unforgettable”.

On Friday morning, Ferrari introduced its first car under the new power unit rules at the Fiorano test track, and then the first race took place. As usual, Tifosi appeared on the track a few hours before the start, creating a unique atmosphere for the team and drivers.

Hamilton was the first to take to the track with the new car, and then Charles Leclerc took over the leadership. Both drivers waved to the fans during the race, and Fiorano’s configuration allowed them to feel the atmosphere of support especially closely.

“Last year I drove a red car for the first time and it was incredibly unique, it was like a first experience and it will always be a first.

However, in this car, it is obvious that the cockpit is quite bright due to the external appearance, and this is great. The good thing is, you always hope you’ll fit in when you come back. Luckily I adapted completely.

I don’t know, it’s so exciting to start the car and feel the new vibrations of the car throughout your body. Then the doors open and you go to the first corner where you can literally see Tifosi.

“This is something I will never get used to and something I will never forget.”

Jorge Lorenzo points out the most difficult thing for Maverick Vinales in the first steps of their joint adventure in MotoGP: “It is very difficult”

the bond between Jorge Lorenzo and Maverick VignaleIt was a very good experience for all of us following MotoGP. The two are very strong personalities who clashed during the Mallorcan’s playing days. But now their paths have reconnected. Jorge will become the new “coach” for the KTM riders, giving the Roses rider the opportunity to fight for the world championship.

Vinales’ first steps in his new training with Lorenzo are being closely monitored. In addition, Jorge himself was responsible for showing everything they were doing together, and a documentary was also released on the TV channel. Youtube “Durara Vita” There, the two pilots show exclusive footage of the premiere of this joint adventure.

In this article, Lorenzo explained the aspects of his method that he believes give ‘Mac’ an edge over his competitors, but also the aspects of his method that most stifle his freshmen.

“Meditation is the hardest thing for him, because he’s never done it.” Closing your eyes and taking deep breaths without thinking is very heavy. It’s very difficult and not fun. “It’s hard for him to be consistent with this,” said the five-time world champion.

Additionally, in the first chapter of the documentary, both drivers are seen meditating on chairs in the flat track area of the Aspar circuit. Anecdotally, a fly appeared while Vinales was trying and drove him crazy, preventing him from focusing as much as Jorge required. “I can’t imagine that,” Maverick laughed.

And if Jorge talked about the aspect where Vinales has to work the most, he also commented on what his strengths are when it comes to training. ”He is a person who has a natural ability to adapt to things quickly.to make any bike go faster. He understands well the concepts you convey to him. At the verbal level, he understands it immediately, so there is no need to explain it twice. ”

MercedesW17. Analysis of the main favorite of the 2026 Formula 1 season

MercedesW17. Analysis of the main favorite of the 2026 Formula 1 season

On Thursday, January 22, Mercedes F1, named the main favorite for the 2026 championship, held the presentation of its new W17 car and immediately took it to the Silverstone circuit in the United Kingdom.

The main reason for the high expectations for the Silver Arrows is changes in regulations, especially powertrains. With such changes in previous years, Mercedes created the most efficient engine and thus dominated the period from 2014 to 2020.

The team partially confirmed its potential by finding a gap in the engine’s compression that provided an additional ~15 horsepower and up to 0.3 seconds per lap. But it will finally be possible to check its effectiveness only in pre-season tests.

Now, based on pictures and videos on the network, it is possible to make a preliminary analysis of the aerodynamic solutions and open structures of the vehicle on which this material will be allocated.

As in the case of Racing Bulls, the analysis will gradually progress from the nose of the car to its tail.

Nose and front suspension

First of all, the mechanism for activating the wing (yellow circle in the photo below) attracted attention. Unlike the Racing Bulls, Mercedes opted for a configuration with a single central mechanism rather than two, one on each side of the wing, like Cadillac and Alpin.

According to preliminary estimates, such a solution should be lighter, more reliable and easier to implement. At the same time, there is a risk that due to its location, the mechanism will create additional turbulent air flows at the bottom, further reducing ground effect in new generation cars.

It will become clear which of these will be more important and effective towards the middle of the season. Most likely, already in the second half of 2026 or the beginning of 2027, most, if not all, teams will come to a common decision.

Also notable about the Mercedes is the rather extreme lower part of the car’s nose (highlighted in red at the top), which first rises sharply and then dips back down again.

This solution allows a larger volume of air to be directed directly under the base compared to more fluid solutions. This is expected to have a positive impact on the level of downforce in the central part of the vehicle and especially in the diffuser area.

Suspension-wise, the Brackley team stuck to last year’s pushrod concept (highlighted in purple above). In recent years, Mercedes has been constantly working on this specific plan and did not change it at the beginning of the new era of the championship. Moreover, judging by the current photos of the real cars, almost all teams in the peloton have either left or switched to a very similar configuration.

middle part of the car

In the screenshot of the team’s video, the car is clearly visible in front projection, allowing you to examine the air intake area and the front edge of the underside of the Mercedes W17 in more detail.

The dividers (pink ellipse) at the lower fuselage entrance have become noticeably smaller compared to previous generation machines; This is a result of the significantly reduced impact of ground effect.

The side air intakes (light green ellipse) are slightly larger than those of the Racing Bulls, but the difference is not critical. At the same time, you can clearly see how the sidepods “protrude” from both sides of the car, creating an air tunnel along the body of the car towards the diffuser.

The air intake above the driver’s head is also smaller than that of the Racing Bulls previously seen on the track. At the same time, its dimensions roughly correspond to solutions that can be seen on cars from Alpin (Mercedes customer) and Cadillac (Ferrari customer). This suggests that the selection of the young bull team was determined not by the requirements of new technical regulations, but by the design features of the Red Bull Ford power plant.

One element also stands out in the rear wheel area (red circle below). As mentioned above, the design of the 2026 Mercedes’ sidewalls directs airflow across the body of the car towards its tail. The purpose of this element is to collect as much of this flow as possible and direct it directly to the diffuser, minimizing air dispersion and increasing the overall efficiency of the aerodynamic concept.

Competing teams that have not yet achieved such a solution will most likely immediately begin to copy it.

rear suspension

The rear suspension is made according to the pushrod design, like last year. From the available photos it is clear that the difference in the height of the arms relative to the outer and inner joints is quite significant. This demonstrates the team’s commitment to achieving high levels of back-end lift prevention.

Mercedes tried to implement a similar solution during updates at Imola last year. This then led to handling problems, a disastrous middle part of the championship and ultimately the abandonment of the concept in the second half of the season.

Maybe this time, “Silver Arrows” was supposed to come to exactly such a solution. This assumption is supported by the fact that Racing Bulls has chosen a similar concept, trying to ensure that the rear of the car is most stable during braking.

Besides the return of the commission, which is discussed in detail in the article about Racing Bulls, there may be another explanation for this decision. The increased role of the electric component of the powertrain means higher levels of energy recovery, and a more stable rear suspension can help charge the battery more efficiently. There is a high probability that similar technical solutions will appear in the vehicles of other teams.

The rear wing does not look unusual or innovative. In addition, this is perhaps the most variable part of the car and often has a variety of configurations. It’s almost guaranteed that we’ll see a completely different version of this element in Barcelona.

Solution

The 2026 Mercedes car looks quite confident. Every element here is closely connected to each other, from nose to tail. The general concept is perceived as holistic and logical. We’re yet to see such completed versions from other top-flight teams, but Mercedes already looks promising.

It is not yet known what the real power of the Mercedes power plant, which is talked about so much in the paddock, is. But one thing is for sure: the team has complete confidence in its car. They covered almost the maximum distance allowed throughout the shooting day and the feedback from the team was that all settings looked positive, with no deviations or red flags detected.

Time will tell exactly what the competitors will show. But it is already clear why this car is called the main favorite of the season.
