“In February, there were no bikes in the Championship. I didn’t think I’d ride.”

Dani Muñoz (Dos Hermanas, 2006) at 19 years old has lived something many pilots have not experienced throughout the season a few months later. After exhausting his motorcycle at the beginning of the year, the young Andalucian was able to reinvent himself and get every opportunity to get his hands on. His age’s talent, determination and inappropriate maturity have made the “tiger” integrated as one of the great promises of Spanish motorcycles.

Congratulations, often on weekends in Barcelona. Except for FP2, always in the top 9, and above, the podium of the race.

It was a dream prize. From the first moment I was very well understood with teams and motorcycles. As soon as they start training, it’s a shame that they fall on FP2. The rest was a very good weekend. I’m very happy.

Which or what is the most special congratulations?

They didn’t send that many messages in my life (he laughs). I have received many celebrations from many people, but the most special ones are the closest ones. Family, friends…they are always there, especially in sensitive moments. When a good time comes, they are with the person they want to share it most.

You like the circuit in Barcelona Catalña, or at least that’s good for you. Last year, at the second Grand Prix at the World Cup, you embroidered it. Unfortunately, don’t put gold brooches in the lace.

truth. Plus, it’s always a good circuit for me. Last year, I was lucky enough to be able to compete in the World Cup just a week after running through Europe with FIM. This time it was different. This is because I haven’t been taking motorcycles at Montmelo since last year. Like all pilots, go. However, I was able to demonstrate the level from the start.

This weekend, we coincided with the best results of the Andalusian pilots of Moto2. Until now, it has been in the hands of Marcos Ramirez. He was third in two times.

I didn’t know.

At the beginning of 2025, there were no bikes in the Championship.

It was everywhere in February. In March, we looked into the options for the SBK -Spanish Championship and the European FIM Junior Grand Prix. I thought it wouldn’t actually be done. It’s a dream to be able to say that he won the podium this year in the World Cup with the KTM team.

Anytime, despite your youth, do you leave it through your head?

For me, it’s impossible to leave this world. I carry my bike in my blood. Get about it, maybe it won’t touch me, there’s no place for me, or should I just take it like a hobby? At one point I thought about it. Ultimately, your own doubts. Even if you don’t want to, there are times when you always wonder if it’s worth going ups and downs. But in the end, you will be rewarded without stopping from working and claiming.

“What I did in Barcelona is a flash and I’m not integrated anywhere to say I’ve already arrived, but this helps me to continue to believe and train.”

Dani Munoz

Who did you support at those moments?

I have always had someone I can trust beside me: Jorge Arroyo. He comes from two sisters I live in. Also, of course, my family and my friends. My people are always confident and trusting in me, always encourage me, and not allowing you to leave this world. But Jorge Arroyo was the one who helped me the most notably not to throw in towels. Whenever I was in a low period, it supported me morally and financially. What I did in Barcelona is a flash and I’m not integrated anywhere to say I’ve already arrived, but this helps me to continue training.

You are right, but in this world it is often said that you did in your last career. Barcelona should be a great energy shoot for you.

Now I’m far more worth it than three days ago lol. If I can’t get good results this weekend at Misano, or for the next few months, I can even forget what happened at Mont Melo. This is this world.

From what you say, you will be in Misano.

Yes, certainly, because DenizÖncü is not yet. From then on, the team will teach me my career from my career.

Do you work with or do you work with a sports psychologist?

No, for now. I have a good atmosphere at home, good family and good friends. All of them help me continue to center. There are some bad moments and it’s not bad to get expert help, so I’ve come to take into consideration. But for now, I’m not working with a psychologist.

Please tell me that it’s your year as you are in three different championships.

This year, I didn’t actually play pre-season motorcycles because I didn’t have a team. I practically did not train anything on the bike. Now I don’t get off it between the World Cup Europe and exchange races. This helps us evolve as a pilot. At the Spanish Championships, we will go forward with Kawasaki in the FIM and with Karex in the World Cup. It displays a lot. Furthermore, it is important to remember that they are different engineers and mechanisms, different environments… No, it’s not easy.

When you face the weekend of replacing a team starting your team, you know your goal is to do the best possible thing to create new opportunities. What does the team require? Will you bring the result, or simply the whole bike into the box?

The team I currently have taught me a lot and has helped me a lot in evolving as a pilot. They always tell you that your goals enjoy watching the checkered flag.

There is a lot to talk about the Murcian generation, but Andalucians are very strong. In addition to Jose Antonio Ruda, David Munoz and you, Alejandra Fernandez, Giulio Garcia, Pepe Osna and more.

We know once in a lifetime. We always run together in the lower categories.

“On the bike I train a bit, I do other things like strength, physical, bike etc… Moto is a very difficult discipline to maintain financially.”

Dani Munoz

What is your training method? Motorcycles don’t have a system that is marked as much as other sports.

In my case, motorcycles are a very difficult discipline to maintain financially, so I get more physical than motorcycles. I train a bit on the bike, but I do other things like strength, physical, bike etc… Fortunately, I take many motorcycles in championships that I enjoy taking and enjoying many races. But outside of the race it’s complicated. When I train on a motorcycle, I usually go to the cart circuit at Sanlucal de Barrameda, along with the MKV Racing School.

What do you expect for the rest of 2025?

Keep studying and try your best to win the World Cup next year.

Who is your pilot or your reference pilot and why?

Dani Pedrosa, a very wonderful corridor in the maze. Furthermore, he finds that he is a very noble man.

Have you ever matched him? Maybe it’s a bit easier now to be at KTM.

We met each other in Barcelona and for the first time I told him.

Why 17 in the World Cup?

There is no special explanation. I was always taking the seven by James Stewart Jr. There was a year when I couldn’t use it, so I wore a 17.

Do you have a nickname for your name or war name?

The tiger logo always comes with me.

We don’t steal time anymore. Good luck with Misano and the rest of the year. Hopefully, by 2026 you will have that place of hope at the World Cup.

Thank you very much.
