Former Spanish racing driver admits to killing his father
Former Spanish Formula 3 racing driver Antolin Gonzalez admitted to killing his father, Marca reports.
Gonzalez was arrested in July 2025 on suspicion of murdering Antolin Gonzalez Sr. A race car driver stabbed a 56-year-old father in the neck during a family dispute at an industrial warehouse in Aranda de Duero.
Gonzalez Jr. reportedly testified in an attempt to get his sentence reduced. The 23-year-old Spaniard claims that his father was the first to use a weapon against him.
Gonzalez began racing in the Formula 3 series at the age of 13, becoming the series record holder. The driver also competed for the Drivex team in the Spanish Formula 4 series along with Russians Nikita Volegov and Alexander Vartanyan. Gonzalez ended his motorsports career due to lack of sponsorship.
