Mika Hakkinen’s daughter joins McLaren driver development program

The daughter of two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen, Ella Hakkinen, has become a participant in the McLaren driver development program, the team’s press service reports.
Hakkinen, 14, is included in the program along with Ella Stevens. The representative of Finland will be the youngest among the program participants; she will test single-seater cars.
Häkkinen has won prizes in karting competitions in Europe and won the Champions of the Future Academy in 2024 in Italy.
Mika Häkkinen, as part of McLaren, became the Formula 1 champion twice (1998, 1999), in total he won 20 victories in the Royal Races and stood on the podium 51 times.
