“A disappointing season.” Leclerc evaluated Hamilton’s chances at Ferrari
Charles Leclerc says he has no doubts about Lewis Hamilton’s motivation after a difficult first season with Ferrari.
The seven-time world champion moved from Mercedes to the Italian team at the start of the year in the hope of starting a new phase in his career. However, the season was extremely difficult; Hamilton failed to gain a single podium throughout the entire championship.
At the end of the year, the Briton repeatedly admitted that he wanted to leave Formula 1 after a string of unsuccessful results.
However, Leclerc believes that the team will enter next season with a fighting spirit.
“I think Lewis has always been extremely motivated. The end of the season was difficult for Lewis and also for the whole team.”
It became increasingly difficult to control the car. But I’m sure we’ll come back stronger next year.
This is a difficult season; The hardest thing is, I don’t know. I try to forget negative emotions as quickly as possible.
“I wouldn’t say it’s the worst season, but it’s certainly the most disappointing.”
