MotoGP, one of its star managers announces surprising departure
MotoGP announced this Thursday the resignation of the MotoGP Commercial Director. Dan Rossomondo “Dan will leverage his experience to lead the media rights, global commercial partnerships and digital business teams to drive continued growth in MotoGP’s profile, viewership and revenue internationally,” the executive, who arrives at Liberty Media from the NBA in April 2023, announced.
Just two and a half years later, it was announced that Rossomondo’s departure would take effect in January 2026, but no clue was given as to who would replace him in key positions on the MotoGP organization chart.
They said in a statement this Thursday: “Since joining in 2023, Dan has played a fundamental role in driving MotoGP’s commercial strategy, building a great team, contributing to the development of a new brand identity and setting the business up for long-term success.”
He will continue to provide strategic guidance to MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, who said: “Dan has played a key role in the commercial evolution of MotoGP and is a trusted member of our executive team. We are grateful for his dedication and the positive impact he has had on the sport. We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
