Enzo Badenas, a promising young Spanish motocross rider, dies during training.
Valencia motocross rider Enzo Badenas17, died this Sunday during a private training session, as confirmed by the Center of Motorsport Technical Expertise (CETDM) at the Ricardo Tormo circuit, where he belonged.
According to information obtained by EFE from a source familiar with the incident, the incident occurred at the Red Sand Park circuit in Vilafames, Castellón province.
The rider, born in Gandia in January 2008, joined CETDM in 2023 after achieving various achievements, including winning the title of 85cc Spanish Champion in 2022.
The center highlighted the “great personal and professional growth” of the rider, who was called up to the Spanish motocross team and participated in regional, national and international competitions such as the European Championship.
“The Technical Center of the Ricardo Tormo Circuit regrets this news and CETDM and all the staff of the circuit wish to extend their condolences, love and great strength to all of Enzo’s family, colleagues, friends and relatives at this difficult time,” the organization said in a statement.
Generalitat also expressed his condolences in a message on social networks.
