VIDEO. Ferrari took part in the transfer of the Olympic torch
The Ferrari team took part in the Olympic torch relay ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics to be held in Lombardy and northeastern Italy from 6 to 22 February.
The Olympic flame, lit in Olympia and transported to Rome with a ceremony in Athens, will pass through all 110 provinces of Italy before ending its journey at the San Siro stadium during the opening ceremony of the Games.
One of the key points of the route was Maranello, home of Ferrari. The torch was passed past the Ferrari Museum, where it was greeted by fans with Scuderia flags and the flame presented majestically against the backdrop of the brand’s collection of supercars.
Ferrari already has experience of participating in the Olympic Games: at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Games in Turin, a Formula 1 car appeared at the stadium, and Luca Badoer performed a series of “donuts”, once again emphasizing that the team is one of the national symbols of Italy.
