15-year-old Russian racer disqualified for gesture similar to Nazi salute

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) disqualified Russian racer Artem Severyukhin for his scandalous behavior on the podium during the European Karting Championship stage held in Portimao, Portugal.

After winning the first stage of the junior karting tournament, 15-year-old Severyukhin, who was competing under the Italian flag, made a gesture similar to a Nazi salute.

According to the GP Fans’ statement, citing the FIA ​​statement, Severyukhin violated the five articles of the Federation’s International Sporting Law.

At the same time, the FIA ​​disqualified the Russians from the first stage of the European Championship, which he won only.

Note that the Swedish team Ward Racing, in which Severyukhin plays, terminated his contract with him after a scandalous incident.
