Coude: “Villarreal has too much and all the good things we have done are minimized”
Eduard Coudehe pointed out after this Saturday’s loss. Villarreal Castellón said that his team “has a lot to offer” in terms of the quality of players, which has minimized “all the good things” the team achieved, especially in the first half.
When asked to take responsibility for the loss, the coach lamented, “We played a good game, but this was purely a matter of order. The first two shots on goal were two great goals.”
“It’s difficult for us to score, that’s the reality. But even though we lost 3-1, I think we played a great game. We had more possession, we had more shots on goal, we were better in every statistic. But they don’t concede because they have very good players,” he claimed.
Coach Coude admitted that Alaves showed they were still alive, but insisted they conceded three goals. “It’s inevitable that we will play against such a good rival.”.
“The match went as planned. We came here not to endure, but to win,” the coach emphasized, expressing regret that Alaves were unable to score the second goal to liven up the final stages of the game.
