The car in which Schumacher won his first victory is sold for 8.5 million euros
The Benetton B192 car that Michael Schumacher drove to his first Formula 1 victory at Spa-Francorchamps in the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix will be auctioned for the first time in history. It was worth more than 8,500,000 euros.
The car was driven exclusively by Schumacher in five Grands Prix that season, including his second podium finish in Canada and his first victory at the Belgian circuit.
What makes this car special is that it is the last manual transmission Formula 1 car to win the race.
After racing for Benetton, the car entered the Renault Classic collection. The car has never been offered for public sale before, making the auction a unique opportunity for collectors and Formula 1 fans.
