Bad news for top MotoGP rider Fermin Aldeguer, he will undergo surgery after an accident
team Gresini Racing Murcia pilot Fermin AldeguerThe 2025 MotoGP Rookie of the Year suffered a serious fall during a private training session at the Aspar circuit. Featuring the likes of Marc Márquez (Alex is scheduled to compete this Friday), Ducati testers Michele Pirro, Máximo Kress and Dani Holgado, it is a regular meeting point for riders from the Madrid, Valencia and Murcia regions to train on their street bikes (until February 1st). Touching MotoGP bikes is prohibited.
Unfortunately, he suffered a fractured femur in his left leg in a fall in the morning (possibly caused by the cold asphalt) and will undergo surgery at Dexeus in Barcelona this Friday. The fracture is located in the femoral shaft, the area from the hip joint to just in front of the knee.
The accident marred Aldeguer’s presence at the first pre-season test in Malaysia (February 3-5), where he was trying to box the Ducati GP25. In less than three weeks, drivers will undergo a second test in Buriram on February 21st and 22nd. The World Cup begins on March 1 in Buriram.
