Sanctions received by Aitor Paredes
Aitor Paredes, who was sent off in the 56th minute of yesterday’s game against Cultural Leonesa, faces a minimum penalty of two matches under Article 124 of the Disciplinary Act, which deals with “contemptuous or inconsiderate behavior towards referees, coaches and sporting authorities”. Referee Alejandro Hernandez recalled in the minutes that he called the fourth referee “cagon.” The article states: “If you treat a referee, coach or sports official with disrespectful or disrespectful language or behavior, you will be subject to a suspension of two to three games or up to one month, unless the behavior constitutes a more serious offence.”
This is a minor sanction, so the footballer must fulfill it in the same competition. This means that if the Lions qualify for this tie, which has already been played over two legs, the quarter-final match played by Athletic and the first leg of the semi-final will certainly be eliminated. Therefore, Arrigoriaga will not be back as CB until his return. If they are eliminated in the quarterfinals, the remaining games will be played next season.
