Catalan pilot Gil Membrado Taking the next step in his budding professional career, the 17-year-old youngest ever champion will jump into World Rally Cars with Rally Team Spain’s new co-driver Adrian Perez.


Gil Memblado will be behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally 3, a combination of Junior WRC and WRC3, and will make his debut in five Junior races in Sweden, Croatia, Portugal, Finland and Chile, as well as two WRC3 races: Rally Islas Canarias – Rally de España and Rally Italia – Sardinia.

The Catalan is considered a child prodigy and last year marked a milestone by winning the Cáceres Rally at the age of 17 years and 127 days, becoming the youngest driver to win a Spanish gravel championship event. He then went on to win in Pozoblanco and Lanzarote, establishing himself as the leader of the championship.
