This is the breakdown of all categories for Dakar 2026 after stage 10. Carlos Sainz was knocked out. Sanders’ downfall brings sudden changes to the motorcycle industry
It was a decisive day and the second half of this second Dakar marathon did not disappoint anyone at all. It was a very tough day for everyone, with different routes for cars and bikes, and a number of navigational errors that could decide the future of the world’s toughest rally.
Motorcycles are a category that struggled before and after the war. Autumn, the big favorite daniel sanders. The Australian started well, but suffered a terrible accident that left him physically damaged and out of the lead with no option on the KTM. For the cars, even if the first half of the marathon was a good day for the Ford team and the Spaniards, the second half was a really tough day. Carlos Sainz was left with virtually no options.
